A contemporary Alteration and addition to a period semi in Sydney’s eclectic suburb Marrickville, in the inner west. We set out to design a family Home with an emphasis on outdoor living.

A series of floating forms make up the first floor bedroom and amenity.

The living spaces are orientated to the north and form around a central pool and courtyard.  Large glass openings enhance light and create a rich and atmospheric outlook to the pool and garden.

A hit and miss brick wall activates the street front and creates a distinct connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding context.
